After Hours
_____________________________________________
In case of emergency, call (610) 376-8691. If we are not in the office to answer your call, follow the instructions on our answering machine.
Please call again if you have not received a return call within a reasonable time.
Office Hours for Sunday and Holiday mornings are reserved for sick visits. If your child is ill, please call the office as early as possible after 8:30 AM on these days.
We urge you to limit your calls after hours and on weekends to those calls that you feel are an absolute necessity. Questions about colds, feeding problems, pinworms, and prescriptions for vitamins can usually wait until the following day. In this way we can answer necessary problems and true emergencies more promptly.
Always Available
_____________________________________________
At least one of our pediatricians is available 24 hours a day, every day, to answer your call and to see that your needs are being met.
Special Appointments
_____________________________________________
Occasionally, problems may arise that require a longer office visit with additional time to fully address your concern. Special appointments may be scheduled for this purpose.
Office Visits
_____________________________________________
For newborns, the first year of life will be one of the most exciting years for your baby. During this time, he/she will grow more rapidly and make more fascinating changes than he/she will ever make again. The Well Baby visits will enable us to anticipate and help you with some of the common problems. Your baby should be seen for the first office check-up when specified by the doctor seeing your baby. Well Baby check-ups are then scheduled every 2-3 months until age 18 months.
The immunizations or "baby shots" are very important for protecting your baby against certain illnesses. These will include DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough), polio, measles mumps, rubella, Hepatitis B, Hemophilus Influenza B, Pneumococcal, flu and chicken pox vaccines, in addition to the necessary boosters.
